A Small-Team Desktop Mail App and Faster Alerts

The Desktop App

I added a small-team desktop mail app (ef38e506). A dedicated desktop client gives staff a persistent, always-visible surface for mail instead of a browser tab that competes with everything else. The “small team” framing kept the scope tight: it’s not trying to be a general email client, it’s a focused window into the shared inbox.

Faster Alerts

I refreshed new mail and sped up desktop alerts (cc75f5e2). Alert latency is the whole point of a desktop client—if mail arrives and the notification lags, the client is worse than a scheduled check. I focused on the polling and notification path to get the delay down.

One Focused Feature

A short day, one coherent feature. The mail platform now has a desktop presence to go with the web and mobile surfaces, which means the same shared inbox is reachable however a staff member prefers to work.
