Editorial Polish: Logos, Reveals, and Correcting the Founding Date
The Wordmark Becomes a Logo
I swapped the text wordmark for the actual PNG logo across the hero, nav, and footer, and retuned the hero spacing and image treatment (a25e9991). A real logo changes the proportions of everything around it, so the spacing retune was as much of the change as the swap itself.
Vendor Logos and Partner Row
I replaced the text vendor names with logos in the hero (6b00feda) and moved the partner row to use featured_logo with a silhouette treatment for logos that don’t read on a dark background (5bea59bc). Silhouetting is a nice trick: rather than maintain light and dark versions of every logo, I render a single-color silhouette that works on the ink surface.
Reveal Animations and Pagination
I did a broad editorial polish pass covering reveal animations, pagination, CTAs, and a venues dropdown (8e384207). I also added a category filter rail to the services listing and shortened the image aspect, plus nudged the nav chat dot into place (4bf107ed).
The Founding Date Correction
The most important change of the day wasn’t visual: I corrected the founding date site-wide from 1995 to 2004 (bb5f28bf). That same commit bundled editorial emails, mobile hero fixes, a radio-group bug, form horizontal rules, and container gutters. The factual correction is the kind of thing that damages trust quietly, and I’m glad it surfaced.
Two Weeks of Design Work
The design system is now coherent: tokens, component classes, real logos, and consistent motion. The remaining rough edges are individual pages rather than the system itself, which is exactly where I want to be.
